Rhododendron...as there are so many varieties, you might be best to look in the RHS books. According to their site, it looks as though it could be Rhododendrum racemosum. Very pretty.

Difficult to get a scale from the pics.
We grow Rhododendron racemosum...the flowers are tiny compared to many Rhodo's.
