it depends on the temperature, wind and aspect to sun/shade. it could vary from a bucket of water a day, to a bucket of water a week.
When it needs it. Short answer but true. I'd get rid of the weeds around the base to lessen how often it needs it. Unless they're intentionally planted, then it will need watering more and feeding at some point.
