Raising ground level/ shrub moving

Hi,

I've created a new raised beds in my garden. The ground level is approximately 12-18inches higher than previous level. I have a fairly mature Leycesteria Formosa that was in the bed before. Do I:

1.raise the soil level up round the plant- it'll be ok

2. Dig the shrub up and re plant it at the higher level

3. Leave the shrub in existing position but have a hollow in that place so the soil remains at original level

4. Any other option I haven't thought of.

Advice gratefully received. Thank you!!

Dig it up and take some softwood cuttings ... they strike really quickly and you'll have new plants for your new bed.

You could build a wall round it so it stays at the same level and/or wait until autumn and move it to the new level. Depends how much risk you want to take.
