Pittosporum Tobira

I have a two year old standard Pittosporum  Tobira which this Spring has looked very unhappy. The leaves are very yellow looking although it's producing flower buds now. What feed could l use to green it up?

Thanks Tracey

    P. tobira isn't one of the hardiest and I bet it suffered in that cold. I'd trim it and tidy it, keep it fed and watered (although I expect you've had enough rain recently) and wait for it to recover.  Trimming it over will remove the flower and that will put less strain on the plant, so a good thing, while it recovers.

Thanks HC for your reply. What  feed would you recommend?

Any tree and shrub fertiliser. Vitax Q4 is reliable.  Once it's growing, a liquid feed is a good thing, or a seaweed based one. They don't require much, but if it's in a pot, then you must remember that you are Mother Nature, providing food to make up for what the shrub can't get from reaching its roots down into the soil.
