Adding fertiliser

XithartXithart Posts: 2

i have added an annual rose fertiliser to my roses and clematis fertiliser to the clematis in the spring. There are buds appearing on both now. Should I now add a liquid seaweed solution especially to those which are in containers  and if so how often?

You can use seaweed extract anytime in the growing season. It's a good plant supplement to use alongside fertilizers. About once every 10-14 days is plenty

Thanks Pete, that's helpful as I was concerned that I would only get lush foliage.

Seaweed extract contains trace minerals that are vital to plants but not always found is sufficient quantities in compost. So it just helps balance it all out
