Poa annua
I have noticed quite a lot of Poa Annua ( at least Knoll Gardens thinks it might be). Actually it is not at this stage unattractive. I light cut my front lawn twice weekly and I have to say it is pleasantly green.
But the question is can this be treated and would anyone do this - and with what?
I have done some reading and spotted mostly US You Tube items on this

Unless you're managing a bowling green I can't see that it should cause any problems. Don't cut the lawn too short is the usual advice.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
I wouldn't have much grass left in the front garden if I got rid of all of mine! It isn't really an issuse. Keep mowing regularly, but not too short as Dove says.
It's a bit coarser, but it's good and green and that's fine by me
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
grass is grass as far as I'm concerned but I like to see a bit of clover and other broadleaves as well.
In the sticks near Peterborough
I would not worry about that in my "lawn" . It is a mowed down couch grass, moss ridden green space.
'You must have some bread with it me duck!'
well the medium cut I give x 2 weekly should keep the lawn happy enough. Others along here cut once every two weeks and scalp quite badly!
