Advice on the name of these trees

Hello, I was wondering if anyone could tell me what these trees are please? They currently occupy a border I am thinking of overhauling and would like some advice whether I should dig them out or not?

The big leafed one is a rhododendron and has been well chewed by adult vine weevil. Otherwise it looks healthy enough. The smaller leafed sort of droopy one is a cotoneaster, will get much bigger. Could be Cotoneaster franchettii.
