It's an allium, I have lots of them in my garden, the bees love them.
Sorry not Allium it is definitely Scilla peruviana..as nutcutlet mentioned.

Slightly off-topic but very useful Silver Surfer is the website Tiny url. Just google and bookmark it. You paste the long url and it does what it says in the tin, shrinks the very long url to something much, much smaller. No more editing!
