Our hydraingers are quite old however having just bought the property they seem to have all died probably due to frost

    Mine have been hit hard by the late frost too image. However, wait a bit before giving up hope, they will probably resprout.  Just don't expect too many flowers this year....

    Cut them to the ground and mulch thickly. You'll likely have lovely fresh plants again before long. No flowers till next year or the year after though.
