Bay Tree
in Plants
Hi
We bought a bay tree just before Christmas and it's spent all winter on our north facing front step.
A few weeks ago we noticed it wasn't looking very well so we have moved it to our south facing patio. However it doesn't seem to be improving.
Any tips on what we should be doing? does it need feeding?
Thanks in advance.

Hello Mar. I am assuming that the Bay is potted in which case it would probably benefit from a feed now. Slow release granular food or blood, fish and bone, or if you decide to use a general liquid feed then twice a month from now until Autumn.
Though I have seen bays growing well in pots, mine hated it, in spite of regular watering and feeding. Since I planted it into the soil, it hasn't looked back.
I also find that cold weather can make them look a bit sad, and they tend to continue looking sad until new growth can replace the damaged leaves.
they don't like cold winds. give it some food, water and a little time in the sunshine.
