Rhododendron Problems

Looking in a very sorry state, just not sure what is eating the leaves. It is in its 3rd year now and worried it won't survive.

Probably vine weevils - https://www.rhs.org.uk/advice/profile?PID=234 The adults eat the leaves but it is the grubs in the soil eating the roots which do the real damage.

If it's a decent size, and hasn't gone short of moisture, it'll be fine.

It's quite common in my experience - bit of weevil damage by the look of it. It rarely affects them long term unless there are other issues as well. There's a couple of dead looking stems which you could tidy up after flowering,  which will improve the overall look too. Dry soil is their biggest enemy  image
