I have used it as a foliar spray for chlorotic plants once or twice but never on veggies. However I read somewhere that adding a mix of 4 parts Epsom slats and 1 part sugar to a planting hole helps plants get off to a great start so I'll be trying it when I put my tomatoes and peppers and maybe squashes in their final planting hole.
Have used Epsom salt for years give my lawns a good watering with it also my camilias and acer a good drench also sprinkle round hostas with grit sand wards off slugs and a teaspoon in planting holes , after a good days gardening put it in the bath also! I find very good all round the garden.
I used it 2 years ago, march it was very hot in the day, "normal" night temp, my greenhouse toms got blossom end rot one watering with epsom salts in water, and they were fine, otherwise I soak in it in the bath (with a bit of lavender or cammomile, if Ive overdone it in the garden)
Epsom salts provide magnesium. If your plants have a magnesium deficiency then a single drench or foliar spray will usually correct it.
If you use it on plants that do not require it, you risk locking out other trace elements particularly calcium which is not beneficial to the plant.

Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit.
Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad.
Ok thanks
