onions
in Fruit & veg
I planted two types of onion sets last year, some red ones, and some white ones that can be eaten as spring onions as i'll need the space for my beans. The white ones are much fatter - can all onions be eaten as spring onions, and just some are marketed that way, or is it better to stick to the way they were sold?

They are edible if you need the space.
You can buy red 'spring onions' in some shops. You can use either as spring onions.
