Plant ID please

These are relatively localised and I have a nagging thought it might be something I've planted, but can't for the life of me be sure.

There are other things I want to plant here, so would like to know what it is and if it is something I should probably leave (it's beautiful / wildlife friendly etc), dig up (horrible invasive thug that will take over if I don't remove immediately) or somewhere in between (probably this I imagine ????).

Many thanks.

edit: picture might help...

On a scale of 1-10 of invasive,  scary plants it's probably 4.5. Don't  panic. Just get rid.image

    Creeping Buttercup for sure.

Digging it up with a hand fork is the best way from personal experience. It has very thin white roots that are usually only 2-3 inches deep so is pretty easy to remove even if it has crept all over borders.

In seriously wet or hard clay soil it can be a bit more challenging to eradicate though.
