    Thanks everyone. It looks like it's worth giving most things a go.

    It saves messing about with watering, misting and the likeimage

    In London. Keen but lazy.

    I've done fuschias and mint successfully.  Currently experimenting with the trimmings from pinching back my calibrachoa plugs.

    Taking cuttings is a new thing for me, still learning what works best.

    I have more success getting Salvia to root this way than in soil. I've done Pelargonium this way too.

    It  is worth trying any cuttings in jam jars  of water.   Some of the very easy ones are  Fuschia , Buddleia, Pelagonium Sedum  Honeysuckle . I am sure there are many more.

    My late mother in law kept the whole family supplied with her parents original hardy (needs care up north ) fuschia and geranium/pelargonium  off cuts. All in jam jars on her window sills .
