Why is my astilbe dying??

CraighBCraighB Posts: 758

Hi guys,

I have an astilbe in shade, which I have kept well watered. But for some reason the leaves in the center of the plant are shrivelling up and dying! It looks fine from the outside but inside doesn't look good!

What could have happened?

thanks

Craigh.

I don't think it could be that we haven't had a frost at all in over a month. I also have an astilbe about 6 foot away which is absolutely fine :-/

Mines taken on that appearance Craig. We've  been experiencing cold breezes over the last two Weeks. My Hydrangeas have got scorched by those breezes too

    Will it recover at all?

Actually it hasn't been extremely windy over the past couple of weeks so maybe it's that.
