Feeding Tomato Seedlings...

Hi all image

I nearly lost all my tomato seedlings when I forgot I had put them out to harden off (I know, I know...) but a couple of weeks indoors again and most seem to have recovered. I potted them on into deep pots today so they can hopefully develop more roots and put them outside (shady spot, just and hour this time). My question is - can I feed them anything to give them a little boost? I have a sequestered seaweed and tomatorite on hand, amongst other things. Any tips welcome! xxx

As soon as they have shed their flowers and have tiny tomatoes, you can start to weekly feed.

No tomorite until the first tiny fruits form on the truss. At this stage you want the plat to grow, not encourage it to put its energy into producing fruit which is what tomorite helps to do.

If you have some seaweed extract that'll do nicely at this stage to give them a pick-me-up

Bring them indoors if the outside temp is below 13c

and best of luck with them ;)
