Gunnera

My gunnera survived the frost it's 10 years old and thrives each year until now, could there be another reason for the brown shrivilled leaves?

Is it dry? or exposed to too much wind?

My boggy bit is bone dry at the moment. We have had no rain for what seems like months.

  • Thanks, I wondered that so I've cleared the area around it laid more compost covered it with bark and soaked it, gave it a good watering again last night, do you think that will help, it's never looked so 'sad'

frost will do it no harm over the winter when dormant unless it's hideously cold, but can harm young emerging leaves.

Most of the country had late frosts this year.

    Devon.
