Mother in law tongue snake plant problem
Hi guys,
I just bought this a mother-in-law tongue snake plant and not sure if its any good.
It's got white specks on the leaves, white rotting(?), and split leaves on the side and top of the leaves.
Some of the top of the leaves were dry-wringly so I cut them off (see pics). The soil felt pretty dry when I got it so I gave it a little water. I'm not sure what's wrong with the plant. Can anyone help?

Looks like a fine young healthy plant to me.
Not sure why you're concerned, the damage is insignificant and barely noticeable.

Same here - a lovely healthy plant - none of us are perfect - humans nor plants
I've been growing these for years and years (long before I had a Mother in Law which is coming up to 47 years) ........ the one thing they hate is being cold and wet ... keep it on a warm sunny windowsill and only water when the soil is really bone dry - sometimes that will mean only watering once a month or even less.
If it's in a shadier spot it will need even less water.

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Awesome, thanks guys!
This is my first plant so I'm being a little cautious. Damn, I wish I didn't cut those leaves... But hopefully I can propagate them sometime in the future
