    What amazing tree trunks!

    Very huggable, BL!

There are some lovely walks in the grounds.

Inside the walled gardens there are deep herbaceous beds...

... not subtle, but the bees and butterflies didn't mind!

    Some pretty shrubs, too.

The walled kitchen garden had masses of apple trees, some quite old, bearing well.

That's Ligularia 'Britt Marie Crawford' at the end of the path, in the shade.

The plum trees had an annual cornfield flower mix sown round them, with a winding path cut through.  Very pretty.

Veg beds were very neat.  Goodness knows how they consumed so much rhubarb... the row was about 30ft long!

Lots of beds of flowers for cutting, too.

Well worth a visit, if you're in the area (it's quite close to Harlow Carr).  The tea room sells lovely ice cream, too...  image

Beautiful Liri.  The cornflowers are lovely in their setting, under the trees.

Lovely, thank you. Maybe they sell rhubarb jam.

Fabulous trees and inspiring borders - love the yellow/orange/blue one (you wouldn't think that would workimage....but it does image).  And love the wildflower meadow too ???

Lovely photos, Liri. Those trees are something else! And the cornflower meadow is beautiful. Love the leaf / flower colour contrast of the ligularia.

Hadn't spotted the Giverney interior pics either, until now. I couldn't certainly live with that kitchen image. Must go there... one day.
