Tomatoes given systemic insecticide

I have 20 tomato plants growing nicely. I had some vine weevil in some pots so I drenched the pots with Provado systemic insecticid. I must have had a stupid moment because I drenched the tomatoe. Will I now have to throw them out.

I'm afraid I wouldn't eat them, not for all the tea in China ...............

Try the local nurseries or garden centres.

It's a bit late now, our garden centre has good sized plants but they are a bit expensive, I think they were 2.49 each, you could buy two  packets of seeds for that. You could try sowing some seeds, if you keep them indoors in the warm they may be ok.

consider the on-going effect of systemic insecticides. It's not just you who gets poisoned, or the insects you  don't care for. It's any insect and those who eat them

I don't like to use them but I have been plagued with vine weevil. I think I might just sling that now. It's been an expensive week all in all.

Try nematodes for vine weevils they are more environmentally friendly and work really well I have heard! Good luck with replacing your plants
