Boston ivy (I think!) needs some help

Hey everyone,

i think we have a Boston ivy climbing up our pergola (I could be wrong on what is it) but the problem is with any new leaves that are coming out are instantly browning and shrivelling up.

Any help would be much appreciated as I don't want to loose it!

    Is it bone dry?

If you've had a bit of frost during the last week, that can affect new, tender growth, although they're usually pretty robust, in my experience.

Hard to tell from that photo, but it may be Virginia Creeper rather than Boston Ivy. Boston Ivy has really big palmate leaves, and goes green quite quickly  - VC has much finer ones.

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Ah, we did have a sharp frost a couple of weeks ago. Thanks, that's probably why!

Hopefully those new leaves coming through will be ok!

I'm not sure if it's Boston ivy or viginia creeper so I'll keep an eye on it
