Can I move it?

I have a Rhododendron Daviesii which I planted last summer. It is rather hidden by other larger plants at the moment and I would like to move it nearer the front of my flowerbed.  It has now grown to 60 cms H x 45 cms W and has buds and flowers. Would it be foolish to try to move it now, or must it wait until the autumn.  I have other items I would like to plant in its place.

It's only been in the ground a year, so won't have ventured massively from the pot it was in.

So long as it's well watered, and you remove as big a rootball as possible and you keep it watered and sheltered from hot sun ( ha ha ) and wind, I'd say it'd be fine.

    Devon.
