    There is no pipe for an overflow,it never gets that high.

    I don't have a filter or pump except for a small solar air pump which sits on the side of the pond and works really well!

     Irrespective of size of the pond, it shouldn't need a filter if it is stocked at the right level and has a good balance of plants too.  The only ponds which should need a filter are those for koi because there is next to no chance of getting decent plant growth.

    Many moons ago I working in the water garden section of a garden centre.  Pond filters hadn't even been invented then but ponds and fish still flourished.
