Grafting Tom's and chillies on potatoes

I have an abundance of chillies and tomato seedlings and was thinking of trying grafting some on potatoes. Have anyone of you tried it and does it improvement the yield of the fruit?

My gut feeling is, if it worked, we'd all know about it by now.

The fact we've not heard it's a great idea, would suggest , it's not.

The Victorians used to do it and it was one of Thompson and Morgan's new products last year but see from your link that it has been going on comersially since at least 75.

If one set of roots have got to produce spuds and fruit it occurs to me that it'll struggle to produce a good crop of both ... but if you fancy having a go, why not?

I can't see any way it would improve the yield of either.

Novelty stuff, give it a try
