The red one not yellow
They are both euphorbias, the red one being E. griffithii 'Fireglow' I think.
It looks like one of the Euphorbia griffithii varieties. I presume this was taken last summer?
That is so strange. I have been trying to find out what this plant is for three years. First time on this forum and there it is. My cat spends an inordinate amount of time making love to this, when caught he looks guilty....
I would try and keep the cat away from it as the sap, as in all euphorbias, is poisonous.
The muntjac ate one of my euphorbias.
with all the poisonous plants in the garden I think plastic grass is the only way to go

Thanks. It was here when we moved in and now I know what it is, I can get some more. The photo was taken a couple of weeks back
re the cat: it hasn't affected him in the seven years we have had him; would you still remove it?
