I am no Geum expert, but I have a few different varieties. Do you know which yours is Nikki or what colour flower? They do seem to need quite a lot of watering especially when they are producing flowers, if they don't get enough the plant collapses and may not come back to life if left unwatered for too long.
I would suggest that you give it plenty of water over a few days or week or so, and see if this is enough to save the plant. Others may have different suggestions, but watering would be my first action.
Many thanks for your help. I've had a good look and couldn't see any pests but noticed it was very dry. I've given it a good dousing and will continue to do so. Hopefully that will work it up. It's a bright orange Geum,. Mrs Bradshaw I think.
I always try to feed my Geum's and other plants too for that matter when they start to grow, when they are in bud and first flowers open. If the plants are in pots then I feed and water more often. Hopefully you will have caught the dry geum before it has died Nikki.
Mrs. Bradshaw has a red flower, Lady Stratheden is yellow flowered. Cooky and Totally Tangerine are orange. Rivale is a sort of pinky small flowered plant. I have a few other varieties but the names escape me right now.
