the new growth on my camellia has turned brown and shrivelled? due to cold.Should I cut it off or leave to drop off

I've just rubbed the damaged leaves and they have crumbled off. It looks better. I'm sure new growth will emerge soon.
Yes I'd cut them off earlier rather than latter. The flower buds start to form during the Summer
