Poorly aquilegia vulgaris 'ruby port'

East facing fence on a north facing front garden, this aquilegia has come back this year from being planted new last spring (when it flowered). Another one hasn't returned at all.

Doesnt seem happy to me - any ideas?  Another one I have on the same fence but up against the house (so almost full shade) is doing pretty well.

Not sure if related, but there's no sign of 3 aquilegia munstead white I planted at the same time last year...

A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

Bob is right. I have lost all my Aquilegias to this. I shall replant again next year and see if it comes back. I read somewhere that even a National Collection has succumbed.

Well that's answered it, thanks.  Guess I'll be ripping that one up pronto then, and hope the last one survives.

    Good job they weren't expensive!
