Frostbitten Pieris

We had a really hard frost last week and my Pieris has suffered badly. All the pink new growth has gone brown and it looks terrible. Should I pinch off the dead leaves? Will that affect any further new growth?

     They discussed exactly that on the Beechgrove Garden this week.  As I recall they said to leave the damaged growth until new healthy stuff appears.  The concern was that removing the damage exposed new areas to be hit again if there is another frost.
