Help with ID please

Hi everyone and a Happy Bank Holiday to you all,

Could anyone ID this plant for me please.

Foliage is silver green (almost glaucus) and evergreen

Grows to height of about 3 foot

Many tiny flowers appear on end of spike (panicles??) and are pale purple/violet colour, like tiny buddleia blooms.

Loves free draining soil (spreads everywhere in our gravel drive and the bees love it.

I've got both in my garden and it looks like linaria (toadflax) to me. They seed all over the place, but, they're also attractive (in my view), so I leave them where I want them and pull the rest up.
Loosetrife is only just poking its head out of the ground and the leaves are much greener

I have this self seeding in my garden and love it as it last for ages.  Toadflax.  I do the same as Pete8 and let it do its own thing and remove anything I don't want.

    Hi everyone,

I checked lots of images on line for both suggestions..... it is definitely linaria purpurea.

A big thank you to everyone who helped. This plant has travelled with me in the last 5 houses I've lived in 'cus I love it so much.

When I pass out spare plants at work people always ask me what it is and have never been able to give them an answer.....until now!

    Thanks againimage
