Plants for poor eyesight
I have been asked to tidy a garden for a 95 year old who has poor eye sight. It got me thinking about whether I could plant some plants that she might be able to see from her patio.
I know that I'd want to go for plants that have a stronger scent to make use of other senses, but just wondered if there was any research for any colours that people with poor eye sight are able to see better than others.
She likes yellow, so that is a start but just wondered if any of you had any recommendations on plants that might give her some enjoyment. Thank you.

Sunflowers would be a good start. Don't just think of the 10ft ones, they come in a wide variety of yellows and other autumnal colours, and heights.
I think 'old eyes' tend to favour the autumnal spectrum of colours rather than the blues.

I have some amazingly coloured sanths, 'Rainbow' - I got them from Higgledy Garden, who calls them 'Rainbow Hippy Lovechild' and also has other colourful annuals (great blogs too http://higgledygarden.com/), but I'm sure you can get them elsewhere.
