Can anyone identify please?

in Plants
Hi all, just hoping someone can identify these please?
This one appeared last year growing in a crack in the wall. I had no idea what it was. Feels like a cordyline as leaves are stiff. i since moved it to garden but is it worth keeping?
This looks like a eurphorbia. It was growing in my local beach and i'm just curious as it looks quite nice and fairly low growing.
Thanks all

First one looks very much like the dreaded Carex pendula. A seed weed of the worst kind. Check if the leaves are triangular in cross section.
Second does look like a Euphorbia, some of them are a bit inclined to seed all over the place too. Eyesight is not up to id from the photo though.
Thanks Berghill, i think you are right. It appears to be Carex Pendula. Why is it dreaded though? I have it in the garden for a year and it hasn't spread or self seeded or anything. I find it quite attractive
self seeds here more than I will tolerate.
It is indeed attractive, just remember to remove the flower heads before they set seed would be my advice
Ah - the innocence of youth! Wait till next year
It's worse if the ground's wetter rather than drier - but frankly, it ain't too fussy
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Thanks all. I'll have to keep an eye on this one and remove the seeds before they have a chance to spread.
...and even then you'll get more. Don't forget you found it growing in a crack in the wall!!
We have never let it even grow here for the last 20 years and still we get seedlings!
