Lemon tree grown from seed looking unusual?
in Fruit & veg
Hi folks,
My daughter had a go at growing a lemon from a seed she found in a slice and it seems to have worked well. The tree is now about 18 months old and around 2 feet tall. The leaves are shiny and deep green - healthy looking. However... the trunk is very thin and flexible (I've supported it with canes) and the 'branches' are disproportionately long and near enough the same thickness as the trunk!
I've visited a few garden centres and can't find any lemon trees that look anything like mine!
Does anybody have any advice or experience around growing citrus indoors?
Thanks!!
Gary

Sorry I thought it had attached! Here it is..
I've not grow citrus for many years, but yours looks ok.
Maybe it could do with more light and I know there are summer and winter feeds available for citrus.
Hopefully someone with some hands-on experience will be able to help..

Looks okay, it might need a bigger pot soon though. Consider putting it outside in your sunniest spot over the summer (i.e. when it's not going to get killed off by frost).
