Hi all

Havent posted for a while but like to look on now and again.

Anyway Been out doing some clearing up and cutting back spring plants and happened to look at the perrenial'poppies 'princess victoria louise" i grew from seed last year and theyve got great big fat flower buds! Patience isnt one of my strong points but i was over the moon. And better still saved myself an absolute fortune ????

Anyone else chuffed with plants grown seed x

I grow everything from seed and every year I am as excited as the last. I know it's a lot of work but I am rewarded with hundreds of plants that I could never ever dream of buying. It's definitely the waiting game with bienials and perennials, but worth it for me, they never cease to amaze me when they do finally flower.

    It's a great feeling isn't it?

Whole new garden to fill here and lots of seeds to sow so lots of excitement to come.

Love growing from seed.  If you fail you haven't wasted a fortune, but when you succeed it's a great feeling.image

Sadly i dont have alot of space to grow seeds so so im quite restricted as to what i can grow. Normally fail safe plants like cosmos, sunflowers et al. However i try to grow one or two things from seed ive never tried before ( even better when its free seeds). But perennial poppies i absolutely love them ? this year 'coral reef'

Rosa rugosa - about 20 plants image. Enough for a windbreak hedge for me and some spares for the neighbour
