feeding veg
in Fruit & veg
Hi, I have just purchased a solar watering system for my greenhouse which is fed from a 200ltr. barrel, the system drip feeds and the barrel of water lasts for approximately 3 weeks my question is. How do I feed the tomatoes and cucumber plants. Do I dilute tomorite into the barrel if so what ratio should I use.

I think your best approach is to treat watering and feeding as separate requirements.
If you add tomorite to your water butt, in the heat of summer you'll probably be able to smell it streets away after a week or so. Once mixed fertilizers (especially anything organic based) will start to break down after several days depending on temperature.
I'd suggest use your drip system to water, then every 7-10 days use a watering can to feed.
