Are these allium worth keeping?

BerkleyBerkley Posts: 431

I have numerous clumps of allium which are bursting with buds - but others which are just a bunch of green leaves. (I think this may be the second year for one or two of them....) Should I leave them in and hope for better next year? Or would you dig them up, use the space for Summer bedding then replant new allium in the Autumn?

You sure the snails haven't had the flowers? I had 2 ambassadors in my front garden that had heads one day and then didn't the next :(

No, there are no flower stems.... just lots of luscious leaves

Berkley, finally dug quite a bit of mine up this year...they were doing very little and with a small garden they just weren't pulling their weight. Surprising how much space I have now given myself for new ventures.

I wonder if my  Alliums not flowering is due to overcrowding.  Does anyone know?

I like the idea of "new ventures"!! Think I'll go for it! Thanks for advice.
