Soil level and trees
We just moved into a new house and at the front there is a garden that is raised about 50 - 60cm. I am looking to lremove this and get the garden at grass level.
My issue is that there are 3 trees that is growing in the garden they are quite well established about power line height.
How can I lower the soil level without harming the trees?

You can't lower the soil in the tree's root zone without affecting the tree. Give them as much area at the original soil level as you can (certainly stop excavating when you start finding roots), and either do a retaining wall or batter the earth down to lawn level.
Hi WillDB
What do you mean with "batter the earth down"?
A retaining wall is not rely a option as that would kind of defeat the purpose.
' Batter the earth down' = create a slope.
You can't expose the tree roots without killing the trees.
You may have to re-think your plans for the garden ... perhaps if you post some photos of the garden someone will come up with some more options.
To post a pic click on the camera icon. If it does't upload try reducing the size - that usually works.
