Ceanothus
Morning everyone...can anyone please tell me if Ceanothus will do OK in a very large pot at the base of a East facing fence?
The pot will get about 8hrs of direct sunlight a day, but at around 1pm on a sunny day, it will then be in the shadow of the fence.
The ticket on the plant says full sun, but I was wondering if 8hrs of direct sunlight will be enough.

I'd say yes Sheps. I had one in a pervious garden which faced south west, but had shade for most of the afternoon because of other factors. It flowered well. It was in the ground, but I think they're ok in pots. Someone else will know for sure about that
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Thanks very much for the reply, Fairy....think I'll give one a go and see how it gets on
Has anyone planted the snowflurries one? I'm struggling to see if they grow as tall as the blue ones, which I now wish I had bought.
A Ceoanathus should do fine in a pot with partial sunshine but the key consideration is free-draining soil.
Thanks for the advice MowTastic...going to buy a couple in the morning
