Creeping Jenny (Lysimachia nummulria)
I am expecting to take delivery of some bare roots at some point this week. I have a couple of questions if I may.
Being bare root should they be potted up first to bring them on before planting pond side?
And are they better as marginals in the pond or planted into the soil to trail over into the pond? I can accommodate either way of planting.

I reckon you'll end up with both ways of planting.
IMHO it's an invasive weed. Proceed with caution.
I second that. I had some which came with a mixture of container plants. It went in the black bin. I didn't even trust it on the compost heap!
Hmmm! I'll just bin them and put those down to a lesson learnt I think. So much for me doing my research on pond side planting!!!
Angie, we're all still learning.
Best to avoid mistakes though, rather than rectify them eh?
Angie, if you have plants in pots, put them round the edges as a trailing plant. I use them round the edges of hanging baskets. Easy to control in these positions.
My Golden Creeping Jenny "Grace Ward" are in two very large pots alongside Lithodora. This photo was taken a month ago. They are now making runners down the sides of the pots some 6" now this week. It's my plan to just trim the ends if they get longer than the pot is tall, or about 18". I don't want them to root on the ground below, which they would happily do if not trimmed.
I think it is best suited for hanging baskets up HIGH.
