Palm problem

Hi can anyone tell me what the problem is with this palm I have had for about a month. The new leaves in the centre of the plant are going white. Thanks

    hope your right as it doesn't look healthy 

    to me. The leaves appear to be very dry and the white flecks are in the leaves they don't rub off 

    is there anything I could do to help it
