Too late to sow sweet peas indoors?

Any and all advice very welcome: I forgot to sow sweet pea seed indoors last winter and wonder if I could still pot them up in a heated propagator. Living in Glasgow I'm hoping my northern location might extend indoor planting time.

  • Not sure but according to Monty on Gardener's World last week he said it was too late and advised people to buy if they wanted to plant some for Summer.

My neighbour sowed some around this time last year - they got to 3-4ft high and only produced a few flowers

  • Many thanks, Pottering girl and Pete. I'll get me to a garden centre and buy small s.p. plants. I’ve also made a note on my calendar to sow the seeds I have later this year.?
