Bowles mauve resurrection?

This was my gorgeous Bowles mauve on 1st April.

Got back from a week away and this is it now.

Is there anything I can do to save it, apart from lots of watering? It's flowered nearly everyday for 18 months!

    Oh dear...

Aldi are doing Bowles Mauve for £1.99!

Thanks Will, I think that's my best option!

  • Yes, I agree, time to buy another one.  If it is any consolation, my experience is that they start going after the 2nd year.  It is easy to take cuttings from so 18 months is a good time to start so that when the mature plants starts giving up you have others ready to take its place. Although at £1.99, not sure that it is worth the bother of taking cuttings.

Had a trip to Aldi for a replacement - came home with an Aquileia Yellow - well that's what the label said! It is in fact just what I wanted - a Bowles mauve!!! All the plants were labelled incorrectly, ooops!
