    I've had no issues with mine,  very happy with it! It was a gift from my father that was so impressed with his,  he had to get me one! Very unlike my Dad so I thought,  it must be good,  he's not one to waste money! Neither of us have had problems with ours.

    My mum has 1 and loves it, however that's mainly as im available at the drop of a hat (well don't all mums think that) to repair it. It's a constant battle of wills, I want to bin it and make my life easier for me mum would rather bin me !!! Fortunately my big brother is as useful as a chocolate teapot so she needs me forever 🤣🤣

    @Wilderbeast - your mum's hose leaks a lot?

    I have one, my previous one lasted 5 years I replaced it in 2020. Always worked perfectly and made watering the garden a pleasure not a chore. I will buy another when this one stops working.

    @Fire the pipe breaks very easily where it joins the end fittings it's a good 2ft shorter where I've had to cut and reduce it. It's not my brew at all
  • I got one of amazon for about £20 as I had a traditional hose that just kept kinking up and took up loads of room.

    No issues with it at all and it goes in a small bag in the winter (looped round tap in summer).

    i only have a small garden so I’m no trailing it all over the place which I guess decreases the chance of it splitting as I can’t catch it on anything.

    I would imagine that a lot of the problems with any expandable hoses are to do with water pressure. If pressure is too high or changeable and it threatens to rupture. Too low and it won't expand. Anything that adds pressure, like pressure washing, spray gun attachments or using it high up, would make things trickier.
    Agree with that, it's the real point. But anyway it depends on the quality of the hose
    What did this guy do wrong to get flagged? Joined the forum and contributed to a discussion?

    @delski - a first ever post on the forum with a link to a hose page, I would guess.
  • He revived a 3 year old thread in order to add a link within the bit he quoted which seemed very dubious to me.
  • I've had 2 expandable Hozelock ones. first one lasted 2 years then it split. Now on the second one had it about 12 months luckily still ok. Would recommend for there ease of use no tangles. When finished I just put it back in plastic bucket.
