Reed Screen Cover

I have a gap in one of my hedges and while I was wondering through the garden centre a few days ago, I saw a reed screen which I thought may help cover it. Hopefully it will weather a little soon.

It is still a little see through and wondered if any type of climber would be good to plant in front of it. I could plant something to give cover but thought a climber may be a better option?

It is south facing but under the over hang of a tree so can be dry.

You would do better to plant another hedge plant or two, or some more decorative shrubs to fill the gap. Things like reed and heather screens do not last many years and will not be strong enough to support the weight of a climber if the wind gets up, though they are useful stopgaps!
