Nibbled leaves

Fionabee2Fionabee2 Posts: 19

Hi folks.

Several of my herbacous pernennials (geranium, anemone, helanium & a couple I can't yet identify) coming up have developed holey or nibbled looking leaves. I can't see anything obvious (the slugs are more interested in emerging hostas) is there an obvious cause at this time of year or could it be multiple things?

thanks

Slugs and snails are the main culprits, but there are oother possibilities depending on the type of damage and where onthe foliage it is. Vine weevil for instance.

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
