Got me stumped GD image I think the second one will be easier to id when it flowers, may jog someone memory

  • It appears that everyone is stumped Perki - incidentally the second plant is flowering now.  If you look really closely you can see two tiny purple/pink flowers - to me it looks like a plant that dies down in the winter, but a name would be helpful to be able to check whether I am right. Thanks for the input anyway.

Can we have a pic of the actual flower on No 2 ... we might stand a chance then image

  • Ha, I would if I could Dove, one fell off - they are tiny and insignificant - there are two in the above photo - one to the left and one just above centre - they are tiny and very dull purple.  The leaves look so lush - the flowers are rather disappointing.

I have googled Hermerocalis Hostafan - the leaves may be similar but the flower isn't big enough.

There were plenty of succulents in the collection I was given, but I am don't really think plant 1 is one of them.  I will have to plant them soon, perhaps I should prune no.1 plant down to encourage a more dense growth?

how big are they? (pot size would do) A photo from a different view might help with 1. as well

  • Yes, I will try to photograph them again this afternoon - that may help - different angles etc.

    2. maybe a Spiderwort?

  • imageimageimageI don't think these pictures are any clearethan the previous ones, but someone may recognize these plants, thanks in advance. The first two pictures are the same plant, the last plant is lots of individual small clumps in one pot, and as mentioned had a very small purple/pink flower, which fell off - not so helpful!
