Roses

Has anyone else noticed how well roses are doing this year?

Even the sulky prima donnas are doing well.

I don't think I've done anything different - just  the usual handful of Toprose.

Although we could do with a bit of rain down here.

Mine are all looking good at the moment B3.  I too would like a bit more rain but we'll just have to see.

Apart from one which has popped up  in teh hedge by our front gate, all my roses are either in pots I brought with me form my old garden or in pots because they've arrived as bare roots ordered this spring.

Every single one is bursting with healthy new foliage and fat flower buds except Jaqueline Duprée who has already finished her first flush.   Looking forward to lots of rosy pleasure to come.

I saw a large bush of  Canary Bird today, absolutely covered with beautiful yellow blooms - absolutely beautiful, and of course very appropriate so close to Norwich image
