no flowers

Hi I live in the very far north of Scotland. I have a dwarf buddlia which is in a planter. the first year it flowered but none the last 2 years. What should I do?

    Hi Shirley. Have you freshened the compost up and fed the Buddleja? The large varieties are fairly bomb proof but I'm not sure about the dwarf varieties. They should be pruned soon to encourage strong new growth.

  • I have fed it and freshened the compost.  I pruned it in the backend and there is some new growth on it now. Should it be in direct full sunlight as it is maybe a bit in the shade.
