Broken Gladiolus a lost cause?
I am a novice to gardening, but this spring I thought I would try a small cutting garden. I started some gladioli inside several weeks ago and they are all about a foot high now. Today I was transferring them outside when the wind knocked over one of my planters and snapped the leaves off of one of the plants just above the bulb. Is there a chance it will recover this season or the next if I plant it anyways?

Plant it anyway, it may send up another but if it does not the chances are it will recover next year
Do you have stakes? Wilco do cheap ones for flowers, something like 10 for a pound.
Get a bag to plant straight into the soil. You can plant gladioli up until the end of May. At the best you will have a succession of flowers. At worst, you will have some in September.
Thanks I'll do that! I staked the rest when I put them outside today so hopefully the others are safe now
i am curious if your broken gladiolus resprouted?
i also just had one snap off at the bulb.
Thanks for your help
